jesseJesse is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the advisement of Prof. Jessica A. Krogstad. He received his B.S. in Mathematics (2009), M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering (2010), and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering (2014) from the University of California, Irvine. His doctoral research focused on the high temperature oxidation kinetics of ceramics exposed to proton or deuteron rich environments. Jesse’s awards include the American Ceramics Society Graduate Excellence in Materials Science (GEMS) and the National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (NSF EAPSI) fellowship.
