Tiffany is an Engineering Physics Major at UIUC and joined Jessica Krogstad’s group in August of 2017. She will graduate in May 2019 and pursue a PhD in Materials at Northwestern University starting in the Fall of 2019

Development of Novel Surfaces to Mitigate Carbonaceous Deposits on Structural Alloys

Research Areas

During her time in the group she has worked primarily on the BP ICAM effort, focusing on asphaltene extraction from crude oil and on chlorine-based corrosion of surface modified steels.  Her senior thesis is entitled: “Corrosion Resistance of Aluminized Steels in Hydrochloric Acid.”
