Eric Lang, a graduate student in Jean Paul Allain’s research group in NPRE, is the lead author on a new publication entitled “Deciphering the role of second phase precipitates on early-stage surface morphology development of dispersion-strengthened W alloys under low energy He irradiation.” This effort was facilitated through collaboration with our group to process the dispersion-strengthened W alloys via spark plasma sintering. Charles Smith and Nathan Madden are also co-authors on this paper which can be found in the May edition of Nuclear Materials and Energy (DOI: 10.1016/j.nme.2019.01.016).
